Financed by the USAID, five years long SHOUHARDO3 project commenced in January 2016 with active support of CARE Bangladesh with a view to improving gender equitable food security , nutrition and resilience of vulnerable people in said district by 2020.. Vulnerable haor areas of four Upazilas of Sunamgonj and Hobigonj district has been brought under the project. DAM SHOUHARDO 3 project is working with five purpose namely Agriculture & Livelihood, HHN, Resilience, women empowerment & governance. Programme emphasises on regular project activities focusing on capacity building of its staff as well as community volunteers with project beneficiaries. The Core Occupational Group (COG) development is a focus area under the project. Another important step is development of Community Action Plan (CAP). Based on CAP, a series of input support will be provided for changing their livelihood.
